Success = Connections
Ed. Note - Al is still in the hospital and doing well. He told us that he appreciates your well wishes and cannot wait to get back into the groove of insulting you all. In the meantime here is a blog he wrote before he went under the knife.
Are we responsible for our failures and successes? Is there a God, an old man with a white beard sitting on a throne who is always watching concerned about how we live our life? Religion is an optimistic philosophy that postulates a theory that somebody gives a shit, that there is a supreme being that punishes and rewards us for our actions. That Hitler is as important as Einstein. That all those dying seven year olds in cancer wards are not evil and it is just happenstance. Why do so many bad things happen to good people? Why did pancreatic cancer kill my mother in 1989 yet last week I saw on TV that scientists are poised to find a cure for this disease? I hearken back to Sartre and my own personal philosophy of existentialism by uttering the words “how else could it be”?
Philosophy is an attempt by man to find cause and effect. Religion has the same goal. In reality there is no cause or effect, there is only the indifference of the universe. Does anyone really care about my past successes as I look for fresh new women on the internet? If my name was Donald Trump or today I was as rich as I was 15 years ago with a chauffeur with four homes I would think that my success with women was based on my Adonis-like body and brilliant insights. I was as responsible for the 7000 women I have bedded as I was for the prestige of my position and my wealth. Thing is, I was no more responsible for my sexual conquests as the progeny and relatives of famous people for their successes.
Let’s take Donald Trump. He is always with beautiful women. What is the reason? The reason is he is rich, powerful and women are turned on by this. Yet one more example is Henry Kissinger, a short ugly Jew who was famous but got laid by many beautiful bimbos. Women are turned on by their teachers at the podium, rock and roll singers and celebrities in the same way that men are turned on by thin ankles, great boobs and thunderous cock sucking.
Celebrity gives us delusion of self importance. The true success is the person who invented himself. I was not a hand me down. I did not inherit my four homes and fifteen-room mansion in Florida. I earned it. I have 21 arrests to prove it. I have the fact that you are reading my words at this moment.
A self made man is a rarity and hated by the parasites that floated to fame thought their parents, relatives and contacts. The Kennedy’s, the Bin Ladens, the Bushes, the Baldwin’s, the Barrymore’s. How often does the son of a powerful person step into his father’s shoes and surprise - he is successful. The machine is already in place and all those around him kiss his ass and want him to look good to save their own jobs.
Some times they step into their tragedies, look at the Kennedy’s.
But mostly its success. Angelina Jolie, Nicolas Cage, Drew Barrymore, Paris Hilton, Anderson Cooper all had very famous and powerful relatives. In sports it is rare to succeed based on familial connections because it is a meritocracy. You can either throw a ball 95 miles per hour or you can’t.
The true innovators are those who had a thought that was never thought before. True accomplishment is not Paris Hilton or George W. Bush but Bill Gates. Not Trump but Sigmund Freud. Success as a celebrity is nonsense and like a fart in the wind. It gives you the illusion of importance but it is merely a distraction. Think of all the people who have lived before us and are dead and rotting. All we become is a name to be as forgotten like Steve “The Crocodile Hunter” Irwin soon will be.
Nothing is as important as a really good shit when we wipe our ass with two-ply tissue, having a good cup of coffee with freshly toasted green beans, a wonderful meal or an orgasm.
Since fame is illusionary and death is in our future all we have is the next moment before we are swallowed into oblivion. The pleasure of the moment is pure hedonism and in truth is the essence of all we really have. We will die, we will rot and we will all be forgotten so what I am really saying is - enjoy your next shit.
