Number 5: Debbie Does Dallas

Enough about our idiot President (for now). Back to what drives every action we make as humans: sexual desire. And the inspiration for that desire oftentimes lies in the form of a porno film. My next pick certainly qualifies as such an inspirational movie: Number five on the "Al-Time" Top 10 Best Fuck Film list is "Debbie Does Dallas."

A 1978 classic that ranks among the all-time great fuck films, Debbie Does Dallas captured male fantasy with acrobatic sex, delicious pussy and high production values. I'm a bit biased in this selection. When I started Screw in 1968 with $150, my partner at the time was the 22-year-old Jim Buckley. Seven years later I bought him out for more than two million dollars because he was tired of being arrested for Screw (21 arrests total). As it turned out, it was not a bad decision for him. With his money, he and his brother David went on to produce arguably one of the most memorable porno films of all time in "Debbie Does Dallas." This is a film that doesn't take itself too seriously while at the same time providing an entertaining plot-line that is the fantasy of every high-school student (and male teacher): A ditzy blond (Debbie, played by Bambi Woods) is selected to be a Dallas "Cowgirl" but lacks funds for the trip so she and her nubile friends embark on a plan to do odd jobs around town to get Debbie down to Dallas. Initially the girls try to keep their services clean, but after Debbie happens upon a nifty way to pocket quick cash -- she's paid handsomely to expose her breasts by the overly-horny owner of a sporting goods store where Debbie has recently taken up employment -- a lightbulb goes off in lil' ol' Debbie's brain and she suggests to the others that they begin to offer similar "services" to expedite their mission. All of the girls vow to save their virginity and only provide non-coital favors which only heightens the anticipation for the viewer. All the usual sexual loopholes are employed (blowjobs, anal sex, hand jobs, spankings) but, in the end, as we suspect, Debbie eventually acquiesces to the shop-owner's come-ons and is nailed in exchange for an all-expenses paid trip to Dallas for she and her industrious friends.

Debbie has become an American cultural phenomenon and is as iconographic as mainstream motion pictures of the same era such as The Godfather or Jaws. Siskel and Ebert reviewed it, vintage Debbie Does Dallas t-shirts are sold on e-bay, and an off-broadway musical version of Debbie ran in 2001. How many porn movies of today's era can make such claims? None. Do yourself a favor and buy a copy Debbie Does Dallas today.
