The reviews for Penn Jillette's extraordinary and brilliantly filthy film "The Aristocrats" have been laudatory and well deserved for a film that knocks down the barrier between artist and audience. It rips the secret curtain that professional comedians kept to themselves, like a secret handshake. Comedians are the truest of society's "outlaws," as are pornographers who deal with the world the way it is and not "should be."

I grew up in the 40's (I'm an old man) when the church publicly railed against masturbation. Their lie maintained that it led to blindness and insanity. Of course the church didn't need to jerk off since they were routinely sodomizing children. Their blatant lies and hypocrisy (a redundancy for ALL religions) assumed that male testosterone could be muzzled and men could be monogamous. Preposterous! Fallacies of that ilk gave jerking off bad press. Pornography is the rebuttal to that premise. I read an article in the New York Post recently about a woman who cut off her husband's penis because of his adultery.
